Starting a Live Telemetry Session

Once your MPVI or RTD device is linked to Telemetry and configured via VCM Scanner Beta, you're ready to view live session data within Telemetry using the MPVI standalone feature. Follow the steps below to get started.

  1. Push the standalone datalog button on the MPVI/RTD device.

  2. Your MPVI/RTD device will begin blinking yellow indicating data is being pushed to Telemetry.

  3. Within the Telemetry site click on the DASHBOARD tab, under the LATEST ACTIVITY section you will see a LIVE session, click on that section to begin viewing the live data from your vehicle.

  4. The Live data session page will appear, begin driving to view your live data.

    You can share your live data session with anyone, see Sharing Sessions for more information.

  5. To end your live session, click the standalone datalogging button again, The device will illuminate green indicating it has finished.

Note

To add more channels to be monitored within this page you will need to add them in VCM Scanner Beta by clicking the icon.

Starting a Live Telemetry Session via VCM Scanner Beta

Outside of the standalone feature, you can use VCM Scanner Beta to start live Telemetry sessions, follow the below instructions to get started.

  1. Click on the icon to connect your vehicle to VCM Scanner Beta.

    Note

    click on the icon to add any channels you wish to be live monitored with Telemetry.

  2. Click on the icon to begin recording.

  3. Go to the Telemetry site and either in your DASHBOARD or SESSIONS tab you will see your live data. Refresh window if necessary.

  4. Click the icon to stop the live sessions.

  5. All sessions once ended can be found in the SESSIONS tab within Telemetry.
