How to Find if Software Needs an Update🔗

The below steps will outline how to check if your VCM Editor or Scanner needs an update.

When to Use This Guide🔗

Use this guide if you do not know how to check if either VCM Editor or Scanner need an update.

Requirements🔗

  • VCM Editor
  • VCM Scanner
  • WiFi

Step-by-Step Instructions🔗

Step 1. Open VCM Editor or Scanner.

Step 2. Navigate to the Top Menu Bar and click "Help > About".

Step 3. A software window will appear. If a new software update is found it will appear under the "Update found." section of the window (see below).

Step 4. Click on the latest software update (see below).

Step 5. Double click the new software update in your browser's recent download history (see below).

Step 6. Follow the prompts within the setup wizard by clicking "Next" (see below).

Note

  • You will need to agree to the End-User License Agreement to download the latest software by checking "I accept the terms in the License Agreement".
  • You will need to agree to the General Terms and Conditions by checking "I have read and agree to the General Terms and Conditions".

Step 7. Click "Install" (see below).

Step 8. Click "Finish" (see below).
