Thank you for purchasing HP Tuners OBDII Adapter Cable for Yamaha Marine Applications. HP Tuners offers five OBDII Adapter Cables designed specifically for Yamaha marine ECMs. Four of which provide a direct pass-through connection from the MPVI/RTD device to the ECM and includes a dedicated 12-volt power source, this power source allows users to connect directly to the marine battery using alligator clips. The 3-pin OBD adapter cable provides a direct pass through from the MPVI/RTD device to the marine applications diagnostic connection.

All products are individually tested before they ship to ensure you receive a working product. Please read all the associated documentation to get the most out of your adapter cable.

At HP Tuners, safety is our top priority. We are dedicated to ensuring that each adapter cable has been tested for safety and reliability. Our team works diligently to design and manufacture adapter cables that adhere to stringent safety protocols.

Additionally, we stay up-to-date with the latest industry safety regulations and standards to ensure that our products consistently meet or exceed all relevant requirements.

Caution

  • Improper use of this cable may cause serious damage to a marine application, including electrical system failure or fire. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and owner’s manual. Use only with compatible applications and components. HP Tuners recommends having an experienced installer with the proper knowledge of electrical systems to install this device. Incorrect installation may result in damage to the marine application or the battery and can cause bodily injury.
  • Disconnect the battery before installing the adapter cable.
  • Do not overcharge the battery or reverse the polarity of the battery or any charging unit.
  • Always disconnect the battery cable whenever doing any welding near the marine application.
  • Ensure there is no wiring left un-insulated. Un-insulated wiring can cause sparks, short circuits and in some cases fire. Before attempting to run the engine ensure there are no leaks in the fuel system.
  • Always be vigilant and adhere to all workshop safety precautions when working on any vehicle to ensure a safe working environment.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Limited Warranty🔗

HP Tuners warrants to the original purchaser of an HP Tuners OBDII Yamaha Outboard Adapter Cable (s) that the product will be free from defects in materials or workmanship in the manufacturing process for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. The 1 year limited warranty will apply to any Adapter Cable purchased through HP Tuners. During the applicable warranty period, we will repair or replace (in our sole discretion) any Adapter Cable found by HP Tuners (in our sole discretion) to contain defective materials or workmanship, at no cost to you.

To file a warranty claim you must submit a ticket to our support team through the HP Tuners website or by emailing [email protected].

This limited warranty will not apply to any problems with an Adapter Cable that, in HP Tuners’ determination, is a result of conditions, malfunctions or damage unrelated to defects in material or workmanship in the manufacturing process, including failure to comply with HP Tuners’ Compliance Statement. This limited warranty is not transferable and does not apply to any Adapter Cable not properly installed or properly used by the purchaser. The above warranty is the full extent of the warranty available for the Adapter Cable. HP Tuners specifically disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including all warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or warranties of merchantability.

Limitation of Liability🔗

IN NO EVENT WILL HP TUNERS, ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, ACTUAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, GENERAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR OTHER DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THOSE RESULTING FROM LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF AN ADAPTER CABLE PRODUCT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY AND WHETHER OR NOT HP TUNERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
