Overview

VCM Scanner supports connecting to external sensors connected directly to the laptop using a serial port.

In most cases, this means using a USB to serial port adapter, like this one: TRENDnet TU-S9 USB to Serial Converter.

• Serial port sensors cannot be user defined.

• If your device has a serial output and you'd like us to add support for it from within VCM Scanner, please contact us.
