Remote Tuning🔗

The Remote Tuning form allows you to set certain values and restrictions in a tune to help accomplish various remote tuning related tasks.

Master/Slave:🔗

Use these settings to control who can open and edit this file and who can open (without editor or view) and flash this file.

By setting the Master Tuner ID:

  • Only you can open this file with full view/edit access.

Tunes that have no Master Tuner ID set:

  • Cannot be viewed or edited by anyone, including you.

Tunes that have Slave Interface IDs set can be:

  • Only opened by your slaves, for Writing ONLY (no viewing/editing).

  • If you set yourself as the master, you can still open this file with full view/edit access.

It is recommended to use Tunerlocking with tunes you intend to distribute if you wish to prevent reading/viewing the tune after it has been flashed into a vehicle.

Slave Restrictions:🔗

Use these settings to further restrict what your salves can do.

Set these values to restrict what vehicle this tune can be written into. The target vehicle must have matching entries for every value you set. Values you can set are:

  • VIN

  • Controller Serial #

  • Controller Operating System ID

Flashing🔗

Here you can control the flashing process.

Write Key Override:

  • Use this to provide a custom key to be used during the unlocking process.

  • This does not change the existing unlocking security algorithm.

Allowd Write Methods:

  • Here you can restrict which write methods the remote user can perform.

Next Write Force Method:

  • Here you can force which write method is performed for the very next write.

  • When you use this feature, be sure to generate a new Force Method Unique Id. This unique id is used to identify and record the next write instance.

  • If you want to force another "Next Write" method, generate a new unique id.
