File Management Notes🔗

Adding, removing, or renaming files via USB is intended for advanced users only. Please observe the following:

  • Session files must follow the naming format: Log-yyyymmdd-hhmmss
  • yyyymmdd — year/month/day (e.g., 20110817 for August 17, 2011)
  • hhmmss — hour/minute/second (e.g., 154312 for 3:43:12 PM)
  • Supported file extensions:
  • Data: .csv, .tad
  • Video: .mov, .mp4
  • Session notes: .txt
  • The video file name must match the data file name exactly, differing only in extension (.mov or .mp4 instead of .csv).
  • Files not created by this app, or files that have been modified externally, may not function correctly. For rendering external data or video, refer to RaceRender.
  • The app should not be on the Sessions screen or any of its sub-views while session files are being modified, as this may cause errors or data inconsistencies.
  • Tracks.dat contains Circuit mode track records; Segments.dat contains Segment mode tracks; Trails.dat contains 4x4 Trail data. These files can be copied to or from other devices running the same version of the app.
  • If Tracks.dat, Segments.dat, or Trails.dat are modified or replaced, it is strongly recommended to fully restart the app. In all cases, navigate to the Track Selection screen and reselect the desired track to ensure data is refreshed.
  • If issues arise, restart the app as a first step.
  • As a last resort, copy all files to your computer, remove them from the app via USB, restart the app, and re-add files one at a time to isolate the cause of any issues.
